Estate Planning tricks learned from Game of Thrones
What can we take away from the Game of Thrones series on HBO? I have often wondered that, since I am an estate planner.
The first thing that is evident for me is that it is likely that a will or a trust would have probably prevented all of the strife amongst the great houses of Westeros if only Robert Baratheon would have had one.

If he had simply left his estate to whomever he chose, it would have saved us all a bunch of death and mayhem. But, that is the whole point of the series, isn’t it? However, if you want to avoid a whole lot of drama in your family after you pass on, it would be wise to spend some time working on an estate plan. Headoff the kind of inter-family feuds that we saw in this series.
By the way, I am rooting for Jon Snow and Arya Stark – I hope one of these two will ascend to the Iron Throne.
Go House Stark – “Winter is Coming.”
